Welcome to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Parish, Wauchope. We are a diverse church servicing our local community and surrounding areas. People of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to learn about their own faith and the role of the church in our community and worldwide.
Who we are.
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Parish continues to be a place of worship, teaching and pastoral care for the community. When we speak of “worship”, we are referring to the life of our congregation: attending worship services, music and honouring life. Our mission is to bring awareness of God’s Existence.
What we do.
Our parish worships Christ through the seven Sacraments. The seven Sacraments include: Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist, Confirmation, Holy Orders, Anointing the sick and Marriage. Church life usually revolves around faith, relationship, discipline, service and much more. “Whoever believes and is baptised, will be saved” – (Mark 16:15)
Why Mass is important.
At Mass, we repeat the “Last Supper” as Jesus commanded us to do. We remember and re-enact his great act of love for us on the Cross – taking our sins upon himself so that if we follow his commandments, we can then live with him forever in heaven. “Do this in memory of me.” – Jesus (Luke: 22:19)
We are committed to creating safe, respectful, and supportive environments for all, especially children and vulnerable people. Our safeguarding practices reflect the teachings of the Church and the highest standards of care. Read more…
